Fire Extinguishers
All Fire Extinguishers supplied by us are manufactured to European standard BS EN 3 under a strictly controlled quality system to ISO9001:2008.
There are five classes of fire:
Class A;Fires involving solid/combustible materials: (Eg, Wood, Paper, Textiles etc).
Class B;Fires involving flammable liquids or liquefiable solids: (Eg, Paints, Petrol, Oil etc).
Class C;Fires involving gases. (Eg, Propane, Methane etc).
Class D;Fires involving Metals (Eg, Sodium, Potassium, Magnesium etc).
Class F;Fires involving Cooking Oils & Fats.
AFFF Foam Fire Extinguishers
* Suitable for use against Class A & Class B fires *
AFFF Spray foam extinguishers work by forming a flame smothering seal over the surface which extinguishes the fire and also prevents re-ignition. They also provide a quenching/cooling property due to its water content.
Suitable for use on wood paper and general combustible material fires & flammable liquids.
Suited to multi risk areas such as garages, offices, shops, schools, etc.
Available in: 2L, 3L, 4L, 6L, & 9L.
CO2 Fire Extinguishers
* Suitable for Class B fires *
CO2 fire extinguishers work by displacing oxygen at the source of the fire, this starves the fire of the oxygen that is essential in the combustion process.
Suitable for use on electrical equipment, fuse boards, comm.’s rooms, offices etc.
Available in: 2KG & 5KG.
ABC Powder Fire Extinguishers
* Suitable for Class A, Class B & Class C fires *
ABC Powder Fire Extinguishers work by forming a barrier over the fire made up of fused particles of blended ammonium phosphate and ammonium sulphate powder. This starves the fire of the essential oxygen required in the combustion process.
Suitable for vehicle protection, garages, etc..
Care should be taken in the use of these extinguishers as the powder residue can cause damage to electrical equipment and production machinery.
The use of Dry Powder extinguishers should be avoided where if discharged its contents will come into contact with people as it can cause irritation to eyes and discomfort on inhalation.

Wet Chemical Fire Extinguishers
* Suitable for use on Class F fires *
Wet Chemical extinguishers work by discharging a solution that cools and emulsifies when applied to burning fats and oils. This seals the surface and prevents re-ignition of the fire.
Wet Chemical fire extinguishers are specially designed for class F fires in kitchens involving burning cooking oils and fats like deep fat fryers.
